Row cannot be located for updating access

My workaround was to manually resync the recordset after every update Hope this helps. I ran into a similar problem a while back when doing an update.

I want to directly update the underlying Access table.

Since then inserting a new row gives the error "Row cannot be located for updating".

I know this has to do with ADO trying to locate a row by specifying each field it knows about, as in "select * from customer where [Name]="Me" and [Address]="Someplace" and so on for each field. In my application, I use a t Ado Data Set with a simple Command Text like "select * from Customer".

With MDAC version 2.1, the following error message may be returned: Run-time error '-2147217864 (80040e38)': The specified row could not be located for updating: Some values may have been changed since it was last read.

THANKS in advance" id="ctl00_m_m_i_ctl00_gr_ctl01_bestanswerbody" class="textarea-bestanswerhidden" name="bestanswerbody" answerbody Id="117751" / To payal Please help me on this problem. When I call the Update Batch method of an Active X Data Objects (ADO) Recordset object using the Microsoft OLE DB Provider for Oracle, an error may occur.
